On Saturday we sat on our front steps and watched the neighbors across the street light off fireworks at dusk. We're cheap and didn't buy any fireworks this year (unless you count sparklers, which you shouldn't).
Gaius was moderately entertained -- for a couple of minutes at least. By the end, he tired of their mediocre pyrotechnic display and my incessant picture taking (as shown in the last photo) and the monkey was shuttled off to bed.
