First Day of Preschool (year three)

The kid just started his third and final year of preschool and he was oh so excited.

The school we're zoned for doesn't have a special education preschool classroom, so each year we get shifted around to wherever there's room. So we were very lucky (okay, I may have put in a number of phone calls and requests) to end up at the same school and with the same amazing teacher as last year. He even told his teacher that he missed her when he saw her today. He was so excited to talk to her and tell her about his old friends and his "three new friends".

He even got a new backpack to start the year off right -- Avengers -- after Michael steered him away from his first choice: My Little Pony (much to my disappointment).  And, of course, he went for the green rope, just as he always does. That little man knows what he likes!

When did my baby get so big? He looks like such a big kid in these photos! It's so easy to forget that he's almost five years old.
