Easter 2014 - Dyeing Eggs

I learned my lesson and decided to do the whole egg dyeing thing outside his year. The kid was interested for about five minutes and then it was up to Michael and I to dye the rest of the eggs. After all of the eggs were dyed, that's when the kid decided he was once again interested in the project, so he decided to dump all of my naturally dyed (with onion skins!) eggs into the dye. Figures.

Easter 2012

Don't be fooled by his apparent interest in his Easter basket goodies -- he tossed them to the side in a hurry. He did however find hours... err... minutes of entertainment pulling out the DIY basket grass (crinkled paper scraps) and spreading it out across the living room.

I tried to involve him in egg dyeing, but apparently watching Mum wasn't enough. He climbed up on the chair, dipped his fingers in the cups of dye, and before I knew it he had shoved his whole hand in the blue cup and spilled it everywhere. EVERYWHERE.

I should have known better -- but it happened, so I had to grab the camera before cleaning up, obviously.

Thankfully the only thing that is still dyed blue are his pale little legs.

Better luck next year, eh?
