Pool Time & Measurements

This kid.... he just walked right up to the pool and climbed in fully clothed, no hesitation. I guess he was hot?

Oh and we measured him the other day: At 2 years and 8 months, he is now 36 inches (three feet) tall and just over 31 pounds.

Anyone who has spent a significant amount of time with this kid knows how much he loves water and dirt. Dirt and water. This kid has to have his clothing changed two-four times a day -- it's madness how quickly he can get dirty and/or wet.

He's been pretty ornery the last week or so because we've kept him inside much more than usual due to the excess heat -- poor kid.

California - At The Beach

I'm not sure I've mentioned this before, but this kid LOVES water. LOVES. So I'm pretty sure he was in heaven (his first visit since he was six months old). From the moment he saw the water, all was was lost. We had to take turns hanging out in the waves with him, because that kid would not leave without the biggest of tantrums. I suppose I can't really blame him -- the water was the warmest California ocean water I've felt in god knows how long.
