For the Birds

A few weeks ago, Michael got it in his head that he wanted a bird. Why? I have no idea. Never the less, later that day we found ourselves first time bird owners (because we needed to add more to our plate -- three cats and two fish tanks weren't enough).

Too bad said bird only lasted a few days before dying. Poor thing.

The Monkey was quite keen on carrying the paper bag with the bird in it to the store. He very gravely carried it out, telling us "Dead. Bird dead".

And now we have two birds --- and they've already outlived that first fella.
