"You will not go anywhere! Stay in your room! You will go to your room, go there by yourself and stay there!"
 

The Monkey gets a little upset with me if I buckle my seatbelt before Michael finishes buckling him into his carseat. He yells, "Don't beat me mom! No!" and is all around offended if he doesn't beat me. It's amusing, annoying, and adorable all rolled into one.

Anyway, I think we've only sent this kid to his (play)room like twice in his life, so I can only assume he picked up this punishment from hearing it at Aunt Cheri's house.

He said a variation of this a number of times on the way home (because I kept asking him over and over again) and I was doubled over laughing. It was, quite possibly, the best part of my day.

Since the weather has been warming up, yesterday before bedtime I let him run around the backyard naked -- poor kid didn't know what to do with himself! The only time he's every really naked is during a diaper change and bath time, so I think he was excited/confused. I, however, was delighted by the adorableness that ensued.

Gaius spent a good week or two climbing in and out of my suitcase -- apparently it was incredibly fun.

BUT I was a horrible mom and ruined all his fun by finally putting all of my clothes away and putting the suitcase back in its rightful place in the garage.

Controller Heaven

It's safe to say that Gaius thinks Uncle Craig is the coolest (but only because Jon never visits, eh?) -- mostly because he has supplied him with a handful of old video game controllers.

Gaius has a thing for sitting in his little toy box, not really sure what that's all about, but it seems to keep him entertained and happy.

He likes to carry his toys around in his mouth like a puppy. It's silly, but also adorable.


He's taken to putting one foot in his cloth toy box and trying to walk around with it. Not really sure what that's about, but he's pretty insistent.


And then there's the fact that he's been all about sitting proped up on his knees the last couple of weeks (oh and the constant need to have a finger lodged in his mouth)...
