We've been working on teaching Gaius how to roll/throw a ball. At first he was very excited that both mom & dad were playing with him, but he didn't quite get the point of it all. He just wanted to crawl back and forth between the two of us.

The next time we tried it out (these photos) he seemed to get the hang of it and he thought it was awesome!

Throw in a little Queen music being blasted in the background and you've got yourself a wicked awesome Tuesday evening.

Sitting Up On My Own? Boring!

Six Months!Six Months!
Six Months!

He doesn't care much for sitting up on his own -- he'd much rather chew on one of us...

...Or rip some fur off of one of the cats

Six Months!

...but he can do it if he doesn't get too distracted.

Tactile Learning

Hair pulling has become one of Guy's new favorite activities and although she may be exaggerating a bit, it really is painful.

It's not just hair pulling though; in the last couple of weeks he has become very tactile in general. He wants to touch (err... grab) everything. It's been really neat to see him reach for things and discover that everything has a different texture.

At the moment his favorite thing to do seems to be running his hands through Michael's beard -- I catch him doing it in his twilight sleep all of the time. It's pretty fucking adorable.

That being said, I do not find the hair pulling and food grabbing adorable in the least.

Sweet Potatoes were his first "real" food (I'm not going to count the rice cereal). He even managed to get about a third of the food in his mouth and down into his belly.

It's a start. Up next? Bananas.
